Thailand, a rare beauty in Asia.

So Thailand. How good is it? Great! How much am I enjoying it? Alot! And how big is the hole in my wallet? Not too big!

Maybe a bit short that sum up so I will try to write som more now. But hey! If you havn't been to thailand, GO! It is totally awesome.

We arrived from sydney to Bangkok in the middle of the night. Didn't make much fuss about choosing a hotel so we just went straight to a tourist info and let them handle the whole deal. Ended up in a fancy hotel with private rooms and toilets and a wonderful breakfast. How good was it to check in to a hotel after all the hostels in australia?! And for less of the price? We were blessed. Still, we didn't want to linger in bangkok since we were going there for the last week of the trip so we booked an overnight train to phuket which went really smoothly.

We arrived in the afternoon to our destination; Patong Beach. Very touristic place full of tuk tuks, salesmen, tailors, hookers, strip clubs, ladyboys.. You name it! Very hectic but we had a pool on the roof of the hotel so we didn't really have a hard time relaxing. The beach was pretty dirty so we didn't end up spending much time there. We pretty much just had a good time there in the chaos and time flew really fast.

Next stop, Koh Phi Phi. Small island just 2,5 hours off Phuket Pier in the south. Not really much to it actually. Beautiful island with incredible surroundings and a small town with some cosy restaurants and bars. We had a wonderful view from the balcony of our bungalow of the cliffs and the beach and we ate and enjoyed ourselves. One day we hired a kayak and paddled our way through the wild waters to the cliffwalls and to a funny little beach full of monkeys. Great experience but my shoulders didn't like the paddeling that much.

Days at Koh Phi Phi flew pretty fast by too and we ended up leaving the place just three days ago and now we are here at Koh Lanta, at a great resort just fully enjoying the stay. What can I say? I love thailand. And I'm looking forward to the rest of the days we are going to spend here although i miss home too. I'll try to keep you more updated! See you later aligator!
